“The Corktown Man” is a musical play which is set in Canada West (southern Ontario) during the week leading up to the July 1st celebrations of 1867, marking the birth of Canadian Confederation.  through lively narrative, music and song, the play tells the story of a time when Irish men and women were establishing new lives in a new land which offered the promise of freedom and opportunity but which also had its challenges and dangers.
